The Summons

What did it mean when Elijah said to Obadiah “Go tell Thy Lord ‘Behold, Elijah is here’”? Only from the crown, only from the sovereign could a summons go forth saying “come”. And Elijah speaks here as God’s throne-man with a warrant from the King of kings, from God almighty, saying to Ahab “come”.
