International Shipping Delays & Restrictions

During the pandemic we have encountered shipping delays. Shipping outside the US has taken months and in some cases the packages were returned to us. Our suggestion is you continually track your package (we will provide your tracking information) and check with your local postal office. We have encountered postal services simply returning packages without contacting the customer on the other end.

Current Restrictions: Australia & New Zealand have suspended priority shipping into their countries. The only shipping method available for Australia & New Zealand is Priority Express.

Can I use PayPal to make a purchase or donation?

Yes, you are able to use PayPal through our site. When purchasing you can select this option in the payment option window. If you would like to make a donation go to our GIVE page and go through the process. You will be able to pay via credit card, PayPal, Bank Transfer, and Venmo. Note, Venmo is not available for recurring donations.

Can I send my order in with a check?

Yes. You can download our Catalog for a list of our books. Be sure to pay attention to the discounts available on the site which will be honored via mail order.

The best way to calculate your order is to put the items you wish to purchase into your cart and let the site tell you the discounted prices (if any apply) and the shipping. This will be the amount you'll need to send.

For international orders please email book order to [email protected] for a shipping & handling total.

If you are in one of the following states please add the below percentage tax:

  • California residents add 7.25% on items.
  • North Carolina residents add 7.5% on items and shipping.
  • Nebraska residents add 7.5% on items and shipping.
  • New Jersey residents add 6.625% on items and shipping.
  • Pennsylvania residents add 6% on items and shipping.
  • Tennessee residents add 9.75% on items and shipping.
  • Texas residents add 8.25% on items and shipping.
  • Virginia residents add 6.3% on items.

How do I know if I'm purchasing digital or physical products?

In the Store, each items has a label which tells what type of product your are purchasing.

Most of our items are going to be physical items. Products labeled MP3 Album, MP3 Track and Ebook will all be digital downloads. Your cart will also tell you the type of product you have in your cart.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We try to get all orders out within 3 business days of it being received. Below is a list of estimated times for different shipping methods.

We do not use FedEx.

The UPS Services we provide are not available for delivery on a weekend. You should get tracking information about your package from UPS (if and email address is provided).

All United Postal Service day estimations are not perfectly accurate. You should get tracking information via email (if and email address is provided).

*Air M-Bag costs as much as Priority International and sometimes more.

Do you ship international orders sea freight rather than air mail?

Unfortunately, we do not have this option as the United States Postal Service has removed sea freight options for international shipping. They have chosen to make all their shipping options air mail.

The only options we are given are as follows:

  • First Class International: weight limit of 13oz. per package and often means multiple packages going costing more in the long run.
  • Priority International: we use our own packaging to ship and it can cost more than flat rate packages that are provided by the US Postal Service.
  • Priority International Flat Rate Boxes: there are different size boxes the USPS provides. We try to get all international orders to fit into these boxes as it is often the least expensive choice.

We realize places like Amazon are offering smaller shipping costs. This is often due to arrangements with the US Postal Service and because as a very large world-wide company they have the ability to have mass shipping discounts where smaller companies do not.

MY US

The only other option is MyUS. MyUS is an international shipping service . With MyUS, you will be assigned a U.S.-based address where your package will be processed for shipping straight to your home country. MyUS uses trusted delivery services like FedEx, UPS and DHL to ensure you receive your merchandise in the shortest amount of time.

To get started:

  1. Sign up with MyUS and get your MyUS address to use at checkout
  2. Shop online at US stores, and have your packages sent to your MyUS address
  3. MyUS will let you know when you package has arrived and allow you to create a shipment request for all your purchases
  4. Your shipments will arrive at your door in 2-4 business days

Do you offer bookstores, libraries, and schools a wholesale discount?

We do offer bookstores, libraries, school, churches and ministries our wholesale discount. You can read more about our wholesale offers here.

Why do I not see the discounted prices advertise when I go to your site?

Because we have leveled givers who also receive discounts on our products (see Underwriter Information), our prices are based on you being logged into the site. Please login or register to see the discounts and sale prices.

Can I buy your books on Amazon?

Yes, all our books are available on Amazon. While we do not fault you for purchasing through Amazon, we ask, whenever possible, to purchase directly from us. Typically you can get a better price through Chalcedon's Store as we do not offer any discount through Amazon due to high fees charged by Amazon.

How do I update my address or contact information with Chalcedon?

We appreciate all contact information updates. You can send us your new address information via to [email protected].

I'm having trouble logging into the website.

Have you logged in before? If not go to register and set up an account. If you have an account and you've forgotten your password or something has gone wrong with your password try the forgot my password option.

Can I change the email address I login with?

The login email isn't something users can change on their own. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with your change of email and the old email address and we can change it for you.

Are Donations or Underwriter Pledges to Chalcedon tax deductible?

Yes, all donations and Underwriter Pledges to Chalcedon are tax deductible. You should receive a receipt of donation from our offices after your donation is placed. We also send end of the year reports for tax purposes.

How do I place a donation on the Chalcedon site?

Go to our GIVE page. You will be able to choose from making a one-time or recurring donation. You can become one of our Underwriters or just donate to Chalcedon. All donations are tax deductible.

Can I donate an extra amount without changing my Underwriter Pledge?

Yes, you can go to our GIVE page and choose the Underwriter option. You will be able to make a one-time gift through this system. Any donations placed by an existing Underwriter are added to their pledge as an extra amount.

How do I set up a recurring donation for more than one of the allotted Underwriter amounts?

You can now go to our GIVE page and choose whether you want to be an Underwriter or your are simply donating. Then choose the monthly donation you wish to give. If you are becoming an Underwriter please choose the amount based on the Underwriting Level you wish to become.

Can I use PayPal to make a purchase or donation?

Yes, you are able to use PayPal through our site. When purchasing you can select this option in the payment option window. How do I update my recurring donation card and amount?

Now that Chalcedon has partnered with Classy you have have complete access to your recurring donation.

You can go to our GIVE page and you will find different way of give or a link to your NEW Donor Account. Once signed in (separate from the Chalcedon site's login) you will be able to edit your recurring donation's payment method, frequency, amount and more.

Do you sell eBooks?

Yes. We are constantly working to get all of our titles in ebook formats. All available titles can be found in the Chalcedon Store. We add to our ebooks constantly so check back for added content.

After purchasing you can find all downloadable files by going to your account and clicking on the download section. Enclosed in the zip file you will find 4 formats of your ebook (PDF, MOBI, EPUB, AZW3). You will need to unzip this file to use any of them.

  • PDF File: Your pdf file can be uploaded to your Kindle, Nook, or iPad by connecting your device to your computer. You can also email your pdf file to yourself and download it from your email on your device.
  • MOBI File: A mobi file will only work on a Kindle or with the Kindle app.
  • Epub File: An epub file will work on an iPod, iPhone, iPad, Nook, and many other devices.
  • Azw3 File: An Amazon file which also works with your Kindle or Kindle app.

Also in your zip file you will find an Ebook Instruction Text file to help you with your download. If you have any further questions feel free to email us at [email protected].

You can also purchase the all our available ebooks at Amazon (for Kindles or the Kindle App), Barnes & Noble (Nooks and the Nook App), and Google Play (Android devices or Google Books app).

Why does it take so long to publish an eBook?

The delay in our ebooks is due mostly to the footnotes in each book. These do not convert easily into ebook formatting so each book has to be re-typeset, moving all footnotes to the end of each book and structuring the books for the Kindle customization in the process. Since we are a small company, this creates a lot of work for very few people. We are continually adding more books to our Kindle library. You can view all the current ebooks in our Store or find them on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Google Play.

How do I download the MP3s/ebooks I ordered?

After purchase, please go to your Account page. You will see a Downloads section under your Purchases.

If the purchases you are seeking were made on the old Chalcedon site you will want to go to Chalcedon Archive Site and login using your old email and password. In your account you will find your old downloads which we hope to move into the new site in the future.

Do I have to connect to iTunes to put your MP3s on my iPhone?

Yes. That is the easiest way. What we've discovered is Apple makes it difficult to do anything without connecting your phone to iTunes. There are some apps out there that let you transfer your audio files into your phone via clouds but they often do not work as well as simply using iTunes.

How do I put your ebooks on my device?

Enclosed in your zip file you will find 4 formats of your ebook (PDF, MOBI, AZW3, EPUB).

  • PDF FILE: Great for Apple Books app or a PDF read on your phone or computer.
  • MOBI & AZW3 FILE: A mobi or azw3 files will only work on a Kindle or with the Kindle app. See directions below for sending your ebook to your Kindle app via Amazon.
  • EPUB FILE: An epub file will work on an iPod, iPhone, iPad, Nook, and many other devices. If you have an iPhone it will work well in the iBooks app. On a Android phone it will work on the Google Books app. Epub files are also supported by the Nook app.

DOWNLOADING YOUR EBOOK FROM A CLOUD:

Google Drive

  1. Upload your file to your Google Drive.
  2. On phone open Google Drive
  3. Click on file
  4. Select Open In
  5. Select correct app: epub=ibooks app/Google Books app, mobi/azw3=Kindle App
  6. You should now be able to read ebook in your app of choice.

OneDrive

  1. Upload to One Drive
  2. Click on file
  3. Select Open In Another App
  4. Select App

EMAILING TO A PHONE

  1. Upload the mobi or epub file as an attachment to your email and send it to yourself.
  2. In the Mail app (doesn't work well with email provider apps) open the email which will have the attachments marked for download.
  3. Download the attachments.
  4. When the attachment no longer says download you can click it again.
  5. You will be prompted to use an existing app.
  6. For epub use the iBooks app/GoogleBooks. For mobi use the Amazon Kindle app.
  7. After choosing the app your iPhone or iPad will indicate it is coping the file over to your app.
  8. You will likely be taken into the app but now you can go into the app you've chosen and find your book.

DOWNLOADING FROM AMAZON TO KINDLE/KINDLE APP

  1. Go to www.Amazon.com and login.
  2. Next to the search bar where is says Account & Lists a drop-down menu will appear upon hover. Click on Content & Devices.
  3. There should be a white bar under the search area. Click on Preferences.
  4. Scroll down and click on Personal Document Settings.
  5. Here you can see your Kindle's email address. Also, you can add a personal email address from which you can send ebooks/documents to your Kindle account. Add your personal email.
  6. After you have approved your email address send the MOBI file from your email address to your Kindle's email address.
  7. It may take a little time for Amazon to process your document but it should show up on your Kindle/Kindle App.
  8. It is possible it will should up without a cover so this is my least favorite way of getting an ebook into my Kindle app.

FOR KINDLE AND NOOK DEVICES: Using Calibre Program

(Create a Library for Your Ebooks)

  1. Go to http://calibre-ebook.com/downl...
  2. Download Calibre program to your computer.
  3. Once Calibre is installed Add the book file the program.
  4. Connect your Kindle, Nook, or iPad (make sure your device is on), and you have entered your passcode if any.
  5. When the program recognizes your device you can choose a book and click the send to device button.
  6. Click the arrow next to the Device button and choose Eject.
  7. The book should have been sent to your device. Some devices may need to be turned off and restarted.

While all of these are doable. The easiest methods are downloading from a cloud. Fast, simple, and works every time.
