The Second Coming of Christ

The second coming of our Lord is the fulfillment of the promise of the resurrection. It is also the fulfillment of the ascension. Christ arose as the first fruits of them that slept, according to scripture. And His resurrection we are told is the assurance of our resurrection at his coming. The angels told the apostles in Acts 1:11 that Jesus would return in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
