Introduction

When we begin the history of the church and the doctrine of the church with Adam and Eve, we do justice to the triple office of man in Christ. We do justice to the positive aspects of the church. We then are able, as the Reformed faith was able to, in the 16th and 17th centuries, to have a full-orbed ministry to the totality of life, to have a world and life view which sends us forth to be more than conquerors in Christ’s name.
