Hypocrisy

Paul begins by condemning mere profession, easy-believism. To condemn and judge another man for doing the same things we do, simply because he is a non believer, is hypocrisy. As Hodge in commenting on this passage said: “he who condemns in another what he does himself, does thereby condemn himself.” Paul accuses the hypocrite of being judgmental: “Whosover thou art that judgest.”
